A note from Christie Harrison, President of the Council of Scottish Clans & Associations (COSCA)…
The Council of Scottish Clans & Associations (COSCA) is delighted to bring our Scottish-American community a fun new opportunity this St. Andrews Day. This year, Scottish broadcaster Alan Downie has offered to arrange live radio hook ups between Scotland and US radio stations on November 30th, St. Andrews’ Day. Broadcasting live from Scotland, well known chat show host Scotty McClue will talk to the DJs of American morning shows about St. Andrew and the various Scottish celebrations of that day. For all the details, go to http://30nov.bitweb.tv.
Alan is a great friend of the American Scottish community and this is a really kind offer. Just send an email to Alan Downie at Alan@bitweb.tv with your local radio station call letters and contact information. You know your local stations best, so choose one that will have fun with the project and ask them to get involved. Celtic and folk programs on public stations are likely candidates. If you can, call your local station to give them some background on the project and let them know that Alan will be contacting them. If not, just get the call letters and contact information to Alan and he will communicate with the station.
Happy St. Andrews Day 2010 from COSCA!
