This month, The National Trust for Scotland is holding The Falkland Ghost Hunt, a world-first for highly immersive gaming, using satellite positioning technology and augmented reality to bring ghosts, banshees and even Mary Queen of Scots back to life within the confines of the palace gardens. Budding paranormal detectives are invited to Falkland Palace in Fife to take part in the ghostly goings-on. Game players will use a radar-enabled paranormal detection device to hunt down the ghostly apparitions and prove their existence to the world by capturing images and recording disembodied voices.
Dates: Daily from 23 to 31 October, 2010
Paranormal Device Rental: £5
For those brave enough, the Trust is holding an exclusive after-dark ghost hunt experience on 30 and 31 October for only £20. Visitors who book in advance will be invited to the palace after sunset for food, drinks, a guided tour, and the chance to play the Falkland Ghost Hunt in the most atmospheric of settings.
I so want to go! If you do, let me know!!!
